Student Experiential Learning Opportunities

Location: Columbia, MO Type: Part-Time (Student Employment)

WAEES is an agricultural consulting firm specializing in agricultural projections and partial equilibrium modeling. We offer employment to undergraduate and master’s students who are interested in data and quantitative analysis. While like an internship, this experience is closer to a part-time job with no specific end date—some students spend all their college years working with us. You will work with a team of other students and full-time staff to complete analysis tasks.

Although we don’t require a specific skill set, candidates with a strong mathematical, statistical, and/or quantitative analysis interest or background are preferred. If you are an international student, you must have the necessary paperwork to allow you to work in the United States. We ask that you set a work schedule and work on-site a minimum of 12 hours per week. We pay $20/hour, have free parking, and are located about one mile south of the stadium at 3215 South Providence Road, Suite 3. If you are interested, send Dr. John Kruse an email and resume to [email protected]. In August 2025, we plan to offer 2-4 positions (~2 modeling positions and 1-2 programming positions), with work beginning near the beginning of MU’s fall semester. We are accepting applications now and positions typically fill quickly.
